Here at Te Puna Ora o Mātaatua, we do things a little differently to reflect the needs of our hāpori. Our Ngā Mata Wai Ora service brings together the strengths of Clinical and Kaupapa Māori Frameworks to deliver a tailored approach for our whānau.
We are looking for a skilled and compassionate AOD & Mental Health Practitioner to join our Ngā Mata Wai Ora team. In this role, you’ll facilitate and coordinate workshops while also supporting whānau through therapeutic interventions and case management.

So you can hit the ground running, we’d expect you to bring a few things to the table such as:
- Relevant qualification in Addiction, Mental Health, Counselling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
- Registration (or working towards) with a recognised body (DAPAANZ, NZAC, SWRB, NZPB, etc.)
- Proven experience in AOD and/or mental health, including intake and/or casework
- Excellent communication, assessment and documentation skills
- Confident working independently and as part of wider team, with the ability to work collaboratively with whānau, clinical teams and other support services.
