We’re looking for someone to join our team of kaihaumaru. The main focus of this role is to manaaki our manuhiri and kaimahi; keeping everyone on our sites and at our events safe at all times.
You’d be joining our hard-working and close-knit Health and Safety team. Based out of our King Street site in Kopeopeo, there is quite a bit of variety in this role as we currently have a number of sites in and around Whakatane, as well as our community hub in Te Teko.
One of the other responsibilities of the team is our Waka Manaaki, which transports whānau to and from medical appointments, so as a member of the Integration team, you may be called upon from time to time to tautoko our Waka Manaaki driver.

For this role, we are looking for someone who has:
- Attention to detail, confidentiality, and professionalism.
- A Certificate of Approval (COA) would be an advantage.
- A full and clean drivers license.
- The ability and experience in de-escalation training and strategies would be beneficial.
- Can manage the balance between the use of security procedures and tikanga manaaki in the care of our kaimahi and clients.
- Strong time management and communication skills
