Registered Health Professional – Homebased Support Services I Full Time, Permanent

Our Homebased Support Service is the largest service in our hauora, with over 400 Support Workers caring for over 700 whānau in their homes. Our point of difference is that we consider a whanau choice model of care, if our criteria is met. Our services are delived through a kaupapa Māori lens, with the majority of our clients being kaumātua.
We are currently looking for a Registered Nurse or Occupational Therapist to become our amazing Registered Health Professional and join our Homebased and ACC Support Services Team. The primary function of this role is to provide clinical expertise to the team and the clients we service. There will be a requirement to occasionally provide support to the Mobile Health Team, taking on the opportunity to travel within the Mātaatua rohe and beyond to support our whānau who live in those hard-to-reach areas.

So you can hit the ground running, we’d hope you have most of the following skills:
- Must be a Registered Nurse or Occupational Therapist with a current practising certificate.
- Experience working in a clinical environment.
- Must be confident in assessing clients and being able to develop personalised treatment plans.
- Has a current Independent Authorised Vaccinator status.
- Knowledge of infection control principles.
- Must have a full driver’s license.
- Practice cultural competency and cultural safety.
- Knowledge and or willingness to learn Te Reo me ōna tikanga.
