Outreach Immunisation Nurse I Permanent, 15 hours per week
He aha te tūnga | About the role
Are you a Registered Nurse who’s passionate about making healthcare more accessible for our whānau? We’re looking for a friendly, confident Immunisation Outreach Nurse to join our Waka Hauora team here at Te Puna Ora o Mātaatua. With an opportunity to work flexible days.
You’ll take immunisation services into the heart of our communities – marae, kura, and everywhere in between. This role blends clinical expertise with genuine connection – supporting whānau to feel informed, empowered, and at ease every step of the way throughout their tamariki’s vaccination journey.
From having meaningful kōrero with whānau to managing safe and efficient vaccination delivery, your mahi will help remove barriers and bring quality care closer to whānau throughout the Mātaatua rohe. If you’re into variety, connection, and kaupapa Māori healthcare, this is a role where your skills and values come together.

So you can hit the ground running, we’d hope you have most of the following skills:
- 3 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse
- A current Annual Practicing Certificate
- Authorised vaccinator status, with proven experience in the vaccinating field
- Ability to explain health concepts in accessible, culturally appropriate ways
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
