He aha te tūnga I About the role

For this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of Riverslea Medical Centre and ensuring service delivery runs smoothly. Ideally you will be an administration superstar, someone who understands the ins and outs of a medical practice. You will have a keen eye for the finer detail and constantly monitor risk, implementing processes and systems to improve efficiency and quality outputs. We hope that you would be familiar with Cornerstone audit requirements so aspects such as financial budgeting and managing external complaints would be second nature to you.

Overall, this is a busy role so we’re looking for someone with experience in general practice and has a passion for community. This is a great stepping stone for someone looking to springboard their career into a GP leadership role.

So you can hit the ground running, we’d hope you have most of the following skills:

  • Experience in a medical practice setting.
  • Financial management and/or accounting skills.
  • Knowledge using relevant PMS systems (Indici preferred).
  • Values that align to our kaupapa and the basic principles of Te Ao Māori.
