Accessibility to health care is a big barrier for our whānau. Our Waka Manaaki service has been designed specially to help our whānau get to their appointments.
We have a fit-for-purpose waka that can transport our most vulnerable and now, we’re looking for the right person to drive it!
We need an awesome advocate for the services that we offer our whanau, and of course picking up and transporting whānau safely to and from their appointments. You will be responsible for making sure the van is always road worthy, confirming appointments, and managing the bookings.

Ngā pūkenga me whai I Your skills and experience
For this role, we are looking for someone who:
- Has a clean, full, Class 1 driver’s license.
- You will need to be safety-conscious and can interact with our kuia and kaumātua.
- The ability to kōrero i roto i tō tātou reo rangatira would be a huge advantage.
- You will need some level of admin skills and computer proficiency as you’ll be required to provide data for our monthly reports and manage the booking system.
