Te Puna Ora O Mataatua has
been fortunate to have Barbara Armstrong join our team to learn from her
experience with the different services as well as sharing her knowledge and
experience with our staff and clients.
Barbara is a masters scholar at the University of Northern British Columbia,
Canada, and as part of the Cross Cultural Indigenous Knowledge Exchange CCIKE
programme she is here in Whakatane on an internship.  Barbara is a nurse with fourteen years of
experience mainly in nursing aged people.
We have also arranged for her to spend her last week in New Zealand at
the Whakatane Hospital with the Te Pou Kokiri team.
