Barista | Full Time 1.0 FTE, Permanent

He aha te tūnga? | What is the role?

You might have by now seen our coffee cart, Ora a Kapa at events or on site in Kopeopeo. If you are committed to making a positive impact on your community, and you enjoy working in a fast-paced customer facing role now is your chance to join Te Puna Ora o Mataatua.

As our Lead Barista, your role goes beyond making coffee. You will oversee the entire coffee cart operation, and you’ll also be at the forefront of training and developing our rangatahi into gaining essential barista qualifications.

Wherever Ora a Kapa is, that’s where you’ll be. You’ll often work independently, taking charge of the coffee cart. This means heavy lifting, towing the cart to various sites, and ensuring that all supplies are not just ordered, but well stocked. You’ll also have the responsibility of ensuring we have council consent when necessary to operate the coffee cart.
