We deliver Homebased Support Services to kaumātua across Mataatua/Eastern Bay of Plenty.
If you’re over 65 years old it could be free. We also can train and employ whānau to support their own kuia and koroua.
We are one of the largest Māori providers of Homebased Support Services across the country. We currently employ over 400 support workers across the region.
Homebase Services
- Household Management – Vacuuming and tidying, dusting, laundry, ironing, meal preparation and shopping.
- Personal Care – Goal and lifestyle planning, clinical care, personal grooming, toileting, medication oversight and hygiene.
- Specialised Personal Care – Bowel cares, managing incontinence, exercises, lifting and transferring.
Over 65
We help you to maintain your independence during your retirement years. We provide support workers to deliver household management and personal cares so you can continue living a healthy life.
If you’re over 65 years old this service could be free.
Palliative Care
Do you have a loved one that is terminally ill? We understand the stresses that follow when your whānau member is seriously unwell.
We provide Palliative Care support with trained support workers who can assist in providing both household management and personal cares for your whānau member allowing you to spend crucial quality time together.
Under 65
Are you under 65 years old? Do not worry, we’ve got your covered too. Whether you’re chronically ill or need assistance with household management and/or personal cares we maybe able to assist you as well.
Short-Term Care
Needing a bit more time to recover? Six-week post-discharge packages are available to those who have recently been discharged from hospital.

We work alongside Te Whatu Ora Needs Assessment and Service Coordination (NASC) Service also known as Support Net in organising and confirming referrals.
Kaumātua are designed individual care plans that are made up of household management, personal care and/or sleepover tasks.

Te Whakareia
We are members of the Te Whakareia Bay of Plenty Community Health Alliance.
We work with our partners, Healthcare NZ, Whaioranga Trust and Ngāti Ranginui in delivering this service across the entire Bay of Plenty region.
