He aha te tūnga? | What is the role?

Are you a Kaupapa Māori advocate who dreams of working in a space that promotes innovation and creativity? As Kaiāwhina I te Reo, you will be our Te Reo extraordinaire who has a keen eye for visual design and storytelling.

Our Media and Communications Team is the voice of Te Puna Ora, informing and motivating the community across all things hauora. Their creativity and flare are crucial to ensuring messages are relevant and inspiring, ranging from Hauora mō ngā kaumātua, to rangatahi inspiration, to public events and safety.

For this role you will help bring our mission to life by co-designing campaigns and multimedia content that captivates our target audience, while upholding a Kaupapa Māori lens. As an experienced Te Reo translator with proven literacy skills, you will connect both worlds (Te Ao Māori me Te Ao Pakeha), by turning raw material such as stories, ideas, and documents, into art. Your Reo needs to be high level, not Timoti Karetu, but pretty up there.

Te Puna Ora takes pride in innovative and exceptional quality of messaging in both Te Reo and English. As Kaiāwhina I te Reo, you will have the opportunity to allow your creativity to thrive.
