Practise Administrator / Health Care Assistant | Part Time 22.5 hours per week (Fixed term until June 2024)

He aha te tūnga | About the role

Here at Te Puna Ora o Mātaatua, we’re committed to improving the hauora of our whānau, which is why we’re looking to recruit a new Practice Administrator / Health Care Assistant. Your main role will be to support our whānau at Rehua Medical Centre.

Your areas of responsibility will include taking phone calls, recalling whānau for health checks, triaging whānau before GP consultations, assisting with observations, administration mahi and providing basic health care support to the team.

We are a fast-moving hauora that respond to the everchanging needs of our hapori, so the ability to adapt to changes, thrive under pressure, and enjoy a challenge are important to us.

So you can hit the ground running, we’d expect you to bring a few things to the table such as:

  • Has basic administration experience
  • Has experience in a clinical environment (preferred but not essential)
  • Is personable and enjoys working within a team
  • Has an alignment to Te Ao me ona Tikanga Māori
