Finance Manager| Full Time, Permanent

He aha te tūnga | About the role

Based in Whakatane, the Finance Manager will lead a team to provide financial and management accounting services across our growing service. You will also be a member of the senior management team, responsible for leading the organisation’s direction alongside the executive leadership team.

Working closely with the CFO, this role will primarily focus on the following:

  • Preparing accurate and timely financial and management reports
  • Preparing the annual accounts and facilitating audit requirements
  • Promoting financial literacy and best practice throughout the organisation
  • Driving the annual budgeting process, including the preparation of project budgets, forecasts and cashflow monitoring
  • Leading, mentoring, and developing the finance team

Nga pūkenga me whai | Your skills and experience

This role will suit a qualified or part-qualified accountant with substantial experience. CA certification is ideal, and with two Chartered Accountants in our executive leadership team, if you aspire to achieve your CA, you would be well supported.

Proven management experience is essential, together with attention to detail and accuracy, great communication and relationship-building skills. A sound knowledge or a willingness to learn te reo me ona tikanga is essential in this role, as is the ability to work in a kaupapa Māori setting.
