Te Puna Ora o Mataatua is the leading regional Māori health and wellbeing provider in the country. Established in 1991, Te Puna Ora o Mataatua delivers an integrated range of community health, general medical, homebased, and social services within the Mataatua rohe, mai ngā kuri a whārei ki Tihirau.

He aha te tūnga | About the role

As Māmā Pēpi & Chur Bro Coordinator you will be based within our Whānau Ora team who oversees several high-level services ranging from; housing repairs, māmā and pēpi, kuia and kaumatua, healthy lifestyles, chur bro, and Te Teko hub, to name a few.

Our Whānau Ora and Social Services team provide a full range of manaakitanga and tautoko to our whānau within Mataatua rohe, utilising a Whānau Ora approach. This role will directly support the Māmā / Pēpi and Chur Bro contracts, providing the necessary support to these individuals and their wider whānau.

You will have a passion for supporting Māmā, Pēpi and Tāne towards wellness and success. Ideally, you will be a community navigator who is well connected within the rohe, and these connections will enable you to provide wraparound services at the click of a finger. As a confident program facilitator, you will develop, facilitate, and deliver workshops to our hāpori, based on their needs.

You will be a passionate advocator who educates, uplifts, and empowers whānau to realise their potential, and your experience working with whānau from all walks of life will assist you with successfully delivering various wānanga.

For this role, we are looking for someone who:

  • Has proven experience working in a similar role and supporting whānau plans
  • Has good relationships with local external stakeholders
  • Is a confident facilitator
  • Has a strong administration background and is familiar with industry and organisational processes.
