Te Puna Ora o Mataatua is pleased to partner with Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiārangi in organising Maea Te Toi Ora: Eastern Bay of Plenty Health Summit, 28 June 2018.
The relationship between culture and wellbeing is now well accepted. However, the manner in which these connections operate in practice, and as part of routine service delivery, is less well understood. This summit is designed to explore the application of culture to health and social service delivery and to provide insight into contemporary Māori health issues and concerns.
The Summit will be featuring Amohaere Tangitu, Trustee of Te Puna Ora o Mataatua, speaking on Whānau Atawhai: Implementation of an Indigenous Paradigm of Culturally Appropriate Care.
