What Te Puna Ora o Mataatua has going on for our Rangatahi aged 16-24.

Our dedicated Tū Māia Rangatahi kaimahi are bringing awesome kaupapa to our rangatahi aged 16-24.

Whether you want work experience, need credits for your NCEA, or just want to get out and about, we have something for you!

Y.E.P Program & Holiday Program

An exciting kaupapa over the holiday period that teaches and encourages rangatahi to have a deeper understanding of water safety and water knowledge.

There will also be an activities week that encourages rangatahi to connect with the taiāo, whanaungatanga, kaitiakitanga, Kanohi kitea, wairuatanga, mahi tahi and pono ki te kaupapa.

We also deliver a Youth Employment Program that covers teachings in licence support, first aid training, OSH forklift licence, work experience, cultural development and so much more.

Food Hygiene and BBQ Wānanga

A kaupapa for those who are interested in working with food or those who want to be the new BBQ master at the next whānau BBQ!

We’re giving you the chance to gain BBQ and food safety knowledge while earning credits to go towards your NCEA!

We’ll be holding a Food Hygiene and BBQ Wānanga on the 5th, 6th and 7th of December from 9am-2pm.

First Aid Wānanga

We’re bringing you another mean kaupapa that adds to your kete mātauranga!

Our kaimahi are giving you the opportunity to gain your First Aid Certificate. The goal is to equip you with essential life skills that could help save a life. Nō reira mātātahi mā, nau mai ki te kaupapa nei.

This wānanga will be held on the 1st of December from 9am-4pm. We have limited spaces available in this group so get in quick!

Café Counter Wānanga

Want to work in a café?

We’re giving you the opportunity to get first-hand experience working in a café while earning yourself some Level 2 credits. This 2-day wānanga will be held on the 21st and 22nd of November.

Surfing Day

Keen for a surf?

Alongside the Salt Spray Surf School, we’re giving you the chance to hit the water to catch some gnarley waves. We’ll provide the lesson, equipment, and the kai. All you need is your towel, togs, a change of clothes, and good vibes.
