We are happy to announce that Med Central has changed its name and has moved to a brand new location.

Med Central is now Rehua Medical.

The all new medical centre, which was previously located at 52B King Street behind Adamson’s Pharmacy, opened Monday 10 October and is now located at 90 King Street, Whakatāne (100 meters up the road from our previous site).

All our same friendly doctors, nurses and administration staff are here to continue to offer our normal services—with new next generation facilities and modern medical equipment at no extra cost.

The new medical hub includes 6 consultation rooms and 3-bed nursing triage area and has a 10,000 ESU capacity. This gives us capacity to grow and meet the demand of our rohe in the short to medium term, and gives space for another GP we are currently recruiting for.

Sharing the new reception space with Te Puna Ora o Mataatua this co-habitation will help us provide better wraparound care and help us on our journey towards truly integrated healthcare.

We are thrilled to be able to open a brand new doctors clinic in the heart of Kopeopeo. We look forward to welcoming our whānau to our new medical hub.

All fees will remain the same. There are also no changes to the way you book an appointment – head to the Rehua Medical page to enrol or book your appointment, or book online via Manage My Health.

The date of the formal opening has yet to be set. Details will be provided in the near future.
