Ministerial Visit by Hon Jackson and Kiritapu Allan

Hon Jackson and Kiritapu visits Te Puna Ora O Mataatua to discuss health and social issues across the EBOP.

Te Puna Ora o Mataatua was pleased to host Minister Jackson (Minister of Employment) and Kiritapu Allan (List MP, East Coast), joined by officials from TPK, MBIE and MSD.

After updating them on the recent developments of Te Puna Ora o Mataatua, management and staff had a roundtable discussion with the Minister and MP about some of the complexities we are working with relating to improving the health and wellbeing of whānau across the Eastern Bay of Plenty. Whānau Ora, Waka Rangatahi Driving Academy and Integrated Healthcare were key points of discussion.

We also briefly discussed our recent submission on the Governments Child Poverty Reduction Bill currently in front the Select Committee.

Both Hon Jackson and Kiritapu shared their experiences working in similar fields as well as their priorities for the next three-years.
