COVID-19 Māori in Mataatua Rohe Wellbeing Survey: Advance Report

Tirohanga Oranga O Mataatua

We are pleased to release an advance report of the survey we ran over the COVID-19 period. The purpose of this survey was to identify the needs of Maori communities within the Mataatua rohe, so that we can tailor our services accordingly.

Our questions were focussed on the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic regarding the social determinants of health (housing, employment, education, health, and essential supplies), and demographics.

Our initial data analysis is now presented in infographics as an advance copy for the hapu and iwi of Mataatua; and all the stakeholders that impact on the health of our people, i.e., government, DHB’s, medical profession, local and regional authorities, employers, health and education providers. A more in-depth analysis of the survey will be published as a substantial report in the near future.

The report is available as a PDF in Te Reo and English, and in a video which are all available below. To ensure you’re updated when the full report comes out, subscribe to our newsletter at the bottom of this page.
