TPO Provides 100K in Sponsorship

TPO have sponsored Ngāti Awa Te Toki, Mataatua Regionals, Ahurei o Tuhoe and Waiāriki Ngā Pū Kōrero.

Kia ora whānau! We’re almost at the end of the Summer and what a season of regional Kapahaka it has been.

We’ve been major sponsors at Ngāti Awa Te Toki and the Mataatua Regionals. Next month we’re sponsoring Ahurei o Tuhoe.

In addition to Kapahaka, we’re also the major sponsors of the Waiāriki Ngā Pū Kōrero competiton on 2 April 2020.

It total, we have provided over 100K of sponsorship to our local community events.

Funding is just one part. We’ve also been able to manaaki our kaumatua in hospitality tents; provide services for our Mama and Pēpi and keep the tamariki/rangatahi busy and active.

All the while, we have been able to check up on their well-being and direct them to the right health/social/medical services in our community.

At Ngāti Awa Te Toki we also launched our Mataatua Definitions of Wellbeing Research Project and at the Mataatua Regionals we launched our Healthy Lifestyles Service.

To understand some of what we do here is a short video of our Whānau Zone at the Mataatua Regionals:

We look forward to continuing to support and sponsor community events across Mataatua rohe.
